ONLINE BUDDHIST MEDITATION PROGRAM
 

The scriptures of the Buddha, recorded primarily in the ancient language of Pāli, apply the word ‘citta’ for both mind and heart. As such, you will we often see citta translated as the ‘heart-mind’. 

Until this point we have predominantly been working with the more mechanical aspects of mind-training. Now, in Program 3, we step into the heart of our practice, exploring the ancient practices of the heart that are of imperative importance for progress upon the path. It has been said that without integrating the practice of loving-kindness, mindfulness can only take us so far.

In this program we will engage with the following practices:

  • Primary Practice:

    • Loving-Kindness (metta)

  • Secondary Practices:

    • Walking (cankama)

    • Tranquility (samatha)

In this program, through study and committed loving-kindness practice, practitioners will witness first-hand the power of metta practice to reawaken the limitless potential of the human heart.
